Hyper-track arrives at the UPV

This past October the first testing track for Hyperloop was installed at the UPV, making it one of the most pioneering facilities in Europe. The 12 meter vacuum steel tube will be used to test the necessary technologies for the development of Hyperloop.

This past October the first Hyperloop test track was installed at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, receiving the name of Hyper-track by the Hyperloop UPV team. The track is composed of a vacuum tube that the team will use to pass all the necessary tests in order to develop the technologies necessary to compete in the next competition.

The 12 meter steel tube is pioneering the development and investigation of the Hyperloop in Europe and will become a clear inflection point in years to come as a key milestone in the development of the Hyperloop.

Having an almost identical test track to that of the competition is a key advantage when comparing Hyperloop UPV with other teams. When the pod embarks on its journey by ship to Los Angeles, the team will have an advantage with an already tested vehicle for the competition. This will take the team a step close to winning Hyperloop Pod Competition III.

The installation of the Hyper-track has been made possible thanks to the help of our partners and sponsors, specially Noksel España for the steel tube, ICITECH, Escuela de Caminos, Canales y Puertos, Escuela de Ingeniería de la Edificación, Departamento de Ingeniería de la Construcción and Departamento de Construcciones Arquitectónicas for the cement supports. Last but not least, Pinturas José Antonio García for the paint.
